About Dad's Doula
Dad's Doula is a free library of guides for expecting and new fathers and partners. We explain pregnancy from a partner's point of view, prepare you for labor, the hospital and the newborn weeks, and cover leave, postpartum mental health and growing as a dad. There are currently 18 articles across 3 topics, plus a glossary of 54 terms.
Dad's Doula is published by Digital Nebraska, a company that builds websites and digital tools for local and Midwest businesses.
How we write our articles
- Facts — definitions, dates, versions, platform rules and who created which framework — are checked against primary or authoritative sources such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the CDC, NICHD's Safe to Sleep campaign, the U.S. Department of Labor and Postpartum Support International. They’re listed and linked at the end of each article.
- Each article shows the date it was last reviewed, and we revisit articles as guidance changes.
- We don’t invent people, quotes, statistics or case studies. Examples are clearly labeled as hypothetical, and we don’t accept payment to mention a product or company.
